L is for Loosing Weight

So I have less then 10 lbs to go until I am back at my pre pregnancy weight. Grrrrrrr! I need some help. I want to diet and loose weight - but I am still nursing and need to know how far I can go without hurting my "supply"! PLUS I need to hear from all you mom's out there as to WHEN I should work out. It seems near impossible to go to the gym - unless I go at 4 in the morning when baby and hubby are still sleeping. I want to spend all the time I have with Dylan - and so I am feeling a little torn. Sleep vs. Gym - Time with Baby vs. Gym - Time with Hubby vs. Gym - Loosing Weight vs. Sanity. Just a few of my struggles. I NEED YOUR WISDOM!

Kenny!

My Fav Song of his....one of many I should say.

K is for Kenny Chesney

So I can't hide it any longer. I LOVE Kenny Chesney. I know - the girl that use to hate country is now listening to it all the time. I went to Kenny's concert a year ago and that was it. I was hocked. I was about to go to his concert this year when he came to SLC BUT I ended up having Dylan that day so there would have been a scheduling conflict! But next year I am there!

J is for Jobs

Through out my life I have had a wide variety of jobs. Not always the best jobs to brag about - but they gave me some money in my pocket so I was happy. For instance one of my first jobs was dressing up as a Twinky and standing by the side of the road for a store opening. I thought it was going to be fun - until I saw the costume. NOT FUN! I was a hotel maid for a little. Not very fun either. Especially when you have to clean a room that was used as a honeymoon room - or when baseball players had been staying there. Let's see - I've been a CNA for a long time. Working in TONS of nursing homes.....need I say more. I've been a secretary, file clerk, administrative assistant, and receptionist. And once dabbled in cashiering for Rite Aid. Needless to say I am a well rounded individual!
All my jobs have been interesting - but my newest job as Mom is the best. It's crazy - It's the only job that I have to wake up every night, get peed on, pooped on, thrown up on, sneezed on, coughed on, boogers wiped on.....and I wouldn't trade it for the world!

I is for Irene

Irene is my middle name. Adalynn Irene Park Thiel! Say that 10 times real quick! ;) Middle names are fun. Once in awhile I've made it "middle-name-day" at my work. Instead of calling each other by our first names we go by our middle names. And if someone doesn't have one.....we get to make one up (evil laugh). Makes for a interesting day - and makes it sound like we are all old ladies. Everyone should try it! :)

H is for Home

This is my home! Nothing spectacular - but I like it. It was actually built in 1926! And you can tell by how the house was designed. It is cozy, not a lot of outlets, small bedrooms, and even smaller closets. It's a up and down duplex - right now we just got our new renters moved in (Thursday) so it feels complete. The bottom apartment is remodled for the most part - and the top part we have been working on......slowly. Ty and I aren't going to call this home forever - maybe just a few more years and then we will either sale - OR - most likely keep it as our rental property and move into or build the house of our dreams! That is the plan right now. We will see though!

G is for Green Bay Packers

Never did I think that people could actually LOVE a game/sport until I went to Wisconsin for the first time. Coming from a state that doesn't have one pro team - and from a family of mostly girls - I never REALLY got into sports until I met Ty. And then I was kind of FORCED to enjoy sports - especially the Green Bay Packers. A few years ago when we went out there for Christmas - Ty took me to a game. We actually got really good seats off of eBay - and we had tons of fun. Here are a few pic's of that cold but fun day!Ty wanted to make sure I got a pic. of the GREAT Brett Favre!
Out side of the stadium!
Trying to stay warm. It gets as cold as Rexburg out there!!!!

F is for Friends

Through out my short life I have felt blessed to have found a handful of true friends. What is a true friend you might ask. Well it is a person that loves you for who you are not what you are - and will always be there no matter the distance, time, or space that might come between you and them. If I could I would post pictures from my high school days because that is where I met most of these true friends of mine. I have moved A LOT through out my life. Mostly when I was younger. So I never got the chance to have a friend that I've known since I was in 1st grade etc. To tell you the truth I am jealous of anyone who stayed in one or two houses while growing up. BUT because I am talking about friends I want to tell you about SOME of my true friends.

NICKY - She happens to be my oldest true friend. 10 years! We met our sophomore year of High School - in our debate class. SHE IS AMAZING. Even though I was the new girl in school she became my friend - and honestly changed my life. Before I met her I was on the wrong track - hadn't gone too far on the wrong track - but she saved me. She taught me that being a nerd was cool! :) In college she would come and kidnap me, blind-fold me, stuff me in the back of her Subaru and do doughnuts in some random parking lot to relieve the pressure of finals! :)
In my eyes she is now an amazing mother and person! She is so strong in standing up for what she believes is right. She is an amazing cook, seamstress, vocalist, and dreamer! I hope to be more like her!

DOROTHY - She came into my life about the same time that Nicky did! Her sense of humor and wild and crazy side always made me smile. And also made it easy to be her friend. When in high school we were on the same dance team. Her perfection in every move she made was awesome. In college she shared the love of snowboarding with me. And stayed by my side (even though I can't remember it) when I fell and hit my head......really hard. She has also blossomed into a incredible mother of 2.5 kids and wife. She is fearless - and I admire her.

KIRSTEN - Has been an amazing friend to me. For a while she and I were connected at the hip. We were practically the same person but in two bodies. BUT then we graduated and our lives separated. She got married - I went to college. I moved away - and she stayed. But we would always call each other and keep up to date on each others lives. I won't lie - she had it a lot harder then I did. She and I have gone through some very hard times together. We have laughed A LOT, cried quite a bit, and talked about life all night long. She is an amazing mother of 2 kids that make me laugh. We have made 1,000 memories together - and hopefully more. And even though we seem to be exact opposites of each other now - I love her. I see the person inside of her - and I'll be friends with her forever.

I would go on about my other true friends. BUT I have to run clean Dylan up, walk the dog, and go take Ty to a Dr's appointment. AND I have about a half hour to do that. When I get time I will write more.

E is for Excitement

Since becoming pregnant and now having a little one to always worry about I feel like my life has been kind of lacking Excitement. To tell you the truth, lately my excitement has been based on how many hours Dylan wants to sleep. (Last night he slept 6 hours!!!!!!) So because of this realization I am going to try and change that. I hate when I feel like a part of my life has gotten in a rut. I like my life to constantly to be moving, growing.
When I was in high school I made a theory - it is called the LITTLE CUP THEORY. If you haven't heard it already this is what it is. In life we have little cups - each of those little cups have labels on them. Such as FUN, SHOPPING, or EXCITEMENT. Those little cups are filled when we have fun or go shopping etc. If we don't fill them - we go crazy. WELL - my excitement cup is almost hitting EMPTY. I have to change that! :) Wish me luck!

D is for Dog

This is my puppy dog Timber! I don't really consider him a dog as much as I consider him a child. It's pretty sad - I know - but he really is a part of our little family. For the longest time while growing up I was a cat person. Didn't really care for dog's too much. <- (side note) I had a bad experiance with one when I was little - that is how I got the scare on my upper lip! BUT then I met and married a man who is allergic to cat's and thinks that they are evil. So we looked for a puppy.......

and I fell in LOVE! It is really nice to have a dog around. It forces me to get going some days. I'll want to sleep in - but then Timber is there to stick his cold nose on my face to remind me that he is ready for his morning walk. Those walks give me energy - they really do! He's smart too - he does tricks, can understand what you're talking about (especially if you say treat or walk), AND he's a protector! I don't know what I would do without him!

C is for Couple

It's no secret - I'm in love with my husband! Our 2nd Anniversary is on Thursday! This picture is us in front of the Bellagio fountains in Las Vegas - on our honeymoon. We had so much fun just watching the fountains :) I am just in love with him now as I was then. He always has a way of making me smile and laugh! He is a great husband and a great father! I can't wait to grow older with him! :P

B is for Baby Smile

So I promised myself that I wasn't going to be one of those mom's that was obsessed with her kid - well........too late - I think I'm addicted. I love everything about him - even in the middle of the night. BUT to explain this picture - Today was my first day back to work....kind of - I'm just doing a couple of hours here and there of home health. ANY WHO - I dropped a very awake Dylan off to my sisters before my first appointment. I was about a mile away when I got this picture sent to my phone! Maybe it was the lack of sleep - but I almost cried. Dylan has just started smiling back at you when you make silly faces at him. I haven't been able to catch his smile on camera yet. But my sister did! Made my morning great - and the fact that I only got 4 hours of sleep worth it. Everything seems better when Dylan smiles!

A is for Adalynn

Some of my other fellow bloggers have done the - It's called an Encyclopedia of Me! Each day I will use the ABC's and post something about me! Hope you enjoy!

I thought this would be a great way to start this out. My name has always defined me through out my life. I think that my mom who also suffered from a odd name (Ordella) felt that she had to pass the curse on! (Just Kidding - Mom!) Some times I've loved it - most of the time I've hated it. When I was younger I would always wish my name was Britany - don't know why - just thought it was a lot better then ADALYNN! Most likely cause everyone would know how to say it. But I do have to say that my name has helped me though - I would always know who really knew me - and who didn't by how they would say my name. Most of the time it was the people that I didn't like that would say my name wrong and it would just make me not like them that much more. I always had a easy last name (Park) until I got married. So at least when I was being called (i.e. at the dr's) they could call Ms. Park - and I knew it was me. Now all I get is a long pause.........and then Adddddddalynn?????? Grrrrrrrr!

To say the least I am glad to have a crazy name - made me a more well rounded individual. I don't think I'll be passing the curse on to my children - but I'm glad for the character it has given me :)

WISCONSIN

I survived! Just verily though! I am ready to stay home for a while after Ty and I's adventures. Wisconsin was A LOT of fun! We were busy most of the time so it didn't really feel like vacation - BUT - it was lots of fun and we got to spend time with the people who mean a lot to us!
One of the main events was that Dylan got blessed! He is growing so fast I was scared that he wouldn't fit the outfit! I ended up borrowing the outfit - Dylan's cousin Nolan actually wore the it for his baptism. Kinda cool!

I wish I had more pic's but my camera decided to go on strike while we were out there and I only got it to work for a little to get pic's of Dylan.

While out there we also went to Ty's best friend's wedding. OH MY GOODNESS weddings are a whole lot different out there then here in little ole' Utah. It was really fun to experiance it all. Thank goodness I had my sis-in-law Kim to explain everything to me. ;) I also had my 25th birthday out there! Ty was so sweet and threw me a birthday bbq! It was really sweet and really fun! It turned into more of a pool party - and we ended the night playing Wii. Quite fun!

But now we are back to reality and trying to get use to it..... it's hard - it really is! Tonight I mowed our lawn - that hadn't been touched since before Dylan was born....I won't need to go to the gym for a while! ;) Oh gotta run - time for me to be mom!

I'm Going To Get Bad At This

This last weekend we went down to Farmington, New Mexico for the blessing of Dylan's cousin Ivie Rose! It was a long trip (6 hours 1 way) BUT it was worth it. Ty's bro and sis-in-law got some 4 wheelers - so we played and had a great time visiting! This is our first little family picture! Dylan was pulling faces the whole time and looking everywhere but at the camera! As I was saying Dylan was making A LOT of funny faces! He has such the personality already. OH - he has also developed the need to make noise ALL the time. He doesn't cry - and he's not in any pain - he just likes to make noise. He'll be dead a sleep and just grunting and cooing. I'm not a heavy sleeper - so i won't lie - he's kept me up! Ty just say's he's trying to tell everyone a story........a very LONG story! :)

Now for the explination about the title to this blog! Tomorrow we leave for our vacation to Wisconsin. We'll be gone a week! So don't expect a blog from me for about a week and a half. I think I'm really going to need to recover - but when I do bounce back (and get the virus off of our computer) I will have lots of news and pic's to show. Ty will be in a wedding, Dylan will be getting blessed, and I will be turning 25! Have a great week and a half!

Gettin Things Going

So here is a pic of me and my little man about a week ago. After this pic was taken I took a nap - cause I saw how insainly tierd I looked! Now I don't look so tierd and I'm starting to get things going.

Our renters are moving out here in about a week - so I've been showing the apartment like crazy. I want to have somone moving in Aug. 1 (if not sooner). Ty and I are going to Wisconsin for a week and I want everything in place before we leave. **** So if anyone knows someone that needs a 1 bedroom apartment in Provo - send them my way****

We also have Ty's mom and Neice Amber coming into town on Friday - They are going to spend some time with us then head down to New Mexico so they can meet Ivie. Then we are going down to New Mexico the last weekend for Ivie's blessing and to bring Rose (Ty's Mom) and Amber back up to catch their plane. THEN a couple of day's after they leave we are leaving for Wisconsin - Ty's best friend Andy is getting married Aug 3rd - and then we are blessing Dylan August 5th! (My birthday!) ****Does anyone know where to get a cute little boys blessing outfit???***** I'm getting tierd just typing this!

OH ALSO UPDATE - I've been calling T-Mobile every day about my stolen cell phone. They are crazy - Ty and I have been with them for 4 years - and all they could do is take $2.75 off of the charges that were made. (I'm going to keep on calling!)

Gotta Run!

Stupid People!

Grrrrrrrrrr! So - everyone knows that I lost my cell phone! It's been terrible living without it the past week or so! I lost it at the hospital - just as I was checking out. Since I knew I had lost it there I talked with the nurses, gave a report to lost and found, AND had Ty stop by the hospital and see if he could find someone who knew about it. OF COURSE nothing turned up. So - today I decided to check our cell phone account. Well - someone found my phone and decided to start calling Mexico on it. They have charged about $150 in international phone calls and text messaging. Which my cell phone company told me I have to pay. AND they have also used most of our minutes - which we can't get reimburssed. I've filed a police report and am filing a complaint with the hospital (I'm pretty sure it was one of the cleaning ladies). I have all the phone numbers they called - and am hoping to get someone fired! <- I'm really mad! It is mind blowing how stupid people can be. I'm just glad that I found out about it. I can only imagine what our bill would look like if I wouldn't of checked our account! I'll let everyone know when I get my number back. In the mean time......Grrrrrrrrrrr!

Monday, July 09, 2007

So - now that I'm home all the time - you will all probably all notice a lot more postings appearing on my site. Hope you don't mind.

This last weekend - as I mentioned in my last post - Ty's brother and sis-in-law came up to see Dylan. It was the first time for us to see their baby Ivie! First of all I have to mention the to-die-for eyes that she has. She is going to be fighting off all the boys with those eyes!

They invited us to go boating with them - and we couldn't turn them down. DON'T worry. All I did was sit on the boat, in the shade, and hold Dylan. It actually felt great to get outside and feel the wind in my hair!

Here is Ivie and Dylan in their cute little life jackets. Dylan's was a little big - and he had a crazy heat rash to match it!

This is Ty Surfing. It is some what like wake boarding - but your feet are free and you get up close to the boat, throw the rope in, and surf behind the boat! Ty did really good for his first time!Another cute pic. of Dylan and Ivie! Both of them pretty much slept the whole time! That night - we went over to my brother-in-laws - for Ty to help him put up some sheet rock in his basement. Conner was dieing to hold Dylan - and Dylan looked so relaxed in his arms I had to take a pic!

1 Week And Counting

I've offically been a mom for 1 week! And to tell you the truth it is awesome! It's really crazy to think that something so pure and perfect came from me and Ty. I know, I know - give it a few years and I'll be singing a different tune. :) To tell you the truth the only bad part of being a mom is ALL the emotions that come with the new job! i.e. Last night Ty came home with the wrong size of diapers (he didn't know they had different sizes) - and I lost it - I seriously was in tears.....over diapers! What next! Side Note - THANK YOU Nicky for the words of advise! You know exactly what to say and when to say it......I think we've been friends for too long - just kidding - not long enough!

BUT - I have been getting better a lot faster then I thought I would. Thanks A LOT to my mom who has come over everyday - cleaned my house, done laundry, walked the dog, watered the lawn, and cleaned surfaces that hadn't been cleaned in a long time! She and Ty have to yell at me still to take it slow - and to take my pain pills when I'm in pain (I don't like the way they make me feel)

This weekend we got a fun treat! Ty's brother Phil and his wife Sarah with their baby Ivie came up to visit Dylan! Ivie is so cute! And I know when Ivie and Dylan grow up a little more they are going to be best of friends! I'll post pic's next time of their meeting.

Well - I think I hear my little man calling for me! ttfn
