Happy Halloween

After not being able to find the costumes that I wanted to use for Halloween (the Rubbles) - I decided that we would do the characters from Shrek. Ty would be Shrek - I, Princess Fiona, and Dylan, Baby Shrek. Well 15 min's before I went home from work the day before Halloween I found out that my Administrator was going to come to work as Shrek. I would have been the laugh of the office if I showed up matching him - only because last year we ended up matching!!!! So last night we went in search of costumes - only to find absolutely nothing. At the very last store we went to we did find Dylan's costume (Robin) which worked out nicely because my nephew Taylor was Batman. Here Dylan is flying to come save the day!
He wasn't such the fan of his mask - BUT he looked so cute in it!!!
I on the other hand did not look so cute! Most girls for Halloween try to look pretty and cute. Well not I! Halloween is to scare people - and I think I did a good job. You should of seen the looks the patients were giving me. When I came home, Ty had forgotten that I was dressed up and he thought someone was trying to break into the house! :)
We ended the night by going up to American Fork and going Trick-or-Treating with my nephews. We made it around the block and then decided it was too cold for Dylan to be out. But he did pretty good for his madien voyage! :)

1st Night

So we have had Dylan's crib for a LONG time. But because of my lazyness he hasn't used it other then a few naps here and there. But after a few hard nights - due to him not really fitting the bassinet - I felt it was time to fix his crib up and put him in there for the first time over night.
I'm not so afraid of how he'll do as much as I'm afraid how I'll do. It's a long walk from my room to his.....hopefully he sleeps and I'll only have to make it once.He looks so little! If I can make it through this first night - I think I'll be fine. I'm kind of scared to see how I'll be when it's his first day of school!
This was just earlier this week - he was just a little tierd I think! ALSO - Dylan has his two lower teeth trying to come in. And because of that he has been druleing like CRAZY! I've been investing in more bibs then actual clothes!

Square One

Not such a bad place to be! ;) AND where I'm thinking about going back to - when I was younger I had HUGE dreams - and I've lately thought about making them a reality.

I am a odd duck....I'll be the first to admit it. One of my little "things" that I like to do - especially on special occasions - is think back a year ago and see what I was doing. I've been doing this A LOT lately since a year ago on Sunday I found out that I was pregnant. WOW - how life changes in just one year!

HALLOWEEN

Sooooooo Halloween is coming up - and I was thinking that it would be fun to do a "family" theme - as far as costumes. I've seen a couple other families do things like this and it always looked so cute! So I'm thinking that we will be The Rubbles from The Flinstones. Seeing that I have dark hair - Ty has blonde. Dylan can be Bam Bam and Timber can be their Tiger they have. BUT before I start looking for the costumes - I was wondering if anyone else had any idea's!

S is for Some Day

Some Day - I would love to be a photographer - and just take pictures ALL DAY LONG. I love taking picture's of beautiful things. Especially this time of year around Utah it is breath taking. They have this drive called the Alpine Loop that takes you up in the mountains - and with all the changeing leaves - it is beautiful! I have this dream though of opening up my own studio! How fun would that be! Until then I will just have to take pic's of my family - and I'm sure they will just love me snapping pic's of everything! ;)

R is for Read

WELL - lately here at the office everyone is talking about this book series.
I guess there are 3 books out and a 4th one coming next Aug. Everyone is talking about how good they are - and I mean EVERYONE. Patients, dr's, co-workers - everyone. One of the girls I was sitting next to was crying while reading it. AND rumor has it that they want to make it into a Movie - and Orlando Bloom is going to have the lead roll!

SOOOOO - if you want to join me in reading this - I am stopping by the Library tonight to pick me up a copy! I will keep you posted on if I think it is as good as everyone says it is.

P is for Provo

Good Ole' Provo - this is where we live. This view is actually just a few blocks up from our house. It's a nice little town - filled with college students, newly weds, and really old people! But Ty and I like it.......for now. Here in the next few months - depending on a few things - we are going to be deciding how much longer we should spend here. AHHHHH decisions! To move or not - and if so - WHERE! We've thought about moving to Idaho - where I'm from. OR moving to Wisconsin where Ty is from. Both places have there advantages and disadvantages. Which makes the decision even harder.
It's crazy cause when I was younger it was so easy to make the decision to move - NOW that I have a family it's a lot harder then I thought it would be. I'm thinking about jobs, housing, school's for Dylan.....the list goes on. BUT either way I will keep all posted of when and where! Wish me luck!

O is for Older and Wiser Too!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TYLER!
(K - so this isn't the most recent pic I have of him - but I am at work and this is the only one I could find!)
So on Friday (Sep 14th) it was my hubbies birthday! 27 years ago he blessed this world! ;) Since he had to work I tried to make it special and took cupcakes to his work for him and all his co-workers. Then that night we went out to eat in SLC at Famous Dave's - Yum Yum! Then on our way back from there we stopped by IKEA - BUT they were closing so all we got to do was drive by and look in the windows. :( SO on Saturday I sent him off to golf and get some quality "Guy Time" in since he has been Mr. Mom with me and my crazy life.
With birthday's I always like to think back where we were a year ago - WOW - life really changes. Here's to another year!

N is for Nervous Breakdown

So I've been busy lately! I can't hide it! There is a lot on my dish right now and it is hard to juggle it all once in a while. Well I hit my breaking point last week. For my home health job I have to drive out to my patient's houses - in the past they were all around the Provo/Orem area so it wasn't all that bad. Well not any more. This last week they set up my schedule that I would drive from Pleasent Grove all the way out to Woodland Hills - which is a 45 min drive.....one way. It was ridiculous that they would have me do it. But since I'm the nice person I am - I did it - trying not to complain. Well that day I had been so I was low on gas. Woodland Hills is out in the middle of no where, my cell phone was almost dead, there were deer running out in front of me, I was running late, AND I had only seen Dylan for like 30 min's. Then if things couldn't get worse - I drive all the way out to Woodland Hills....and my patient had passed away that morning, and no one had told me. OOOOHHHHH if fire and flames could have shot up out of the ground they would of....I was HOT! Then I had to find a gas station that would take a check - because I had forgotten my debit card at home. When I did get home at 9:45pm - I was exhausted - and my baby was already asleep for the night.
Needless to say the next day I had a very LONG talk with the schedule lady - and I bought a planner. Hopefully this will help reduce the craziness of my life because I will remember what I have to do that day and not over book myself without knowing it. *Cross Fingers* that it will work - or I might have another breakdown! ;)

Crazy Fun

Happy Labor Day Weekend! Ty and I don't REALLY get to celebrate - BUT we did get to go up to Logan today and meet up with some of his family! Quite fun! Just thought I would post this pick and say HI! More ABC's coming soon - be sure to check back!

L is for Loosing Weight

So I have less then 10 lbs to go until I am back at my pre pregnancy weight. Grrrrrrr! I need some help. I want to diet and loose weight - but I am still nursing and need to know how far I can go without hurting my "supply"! PLUS I need to hear from all you mom's out there as to WHEN I should work out. It seems near impossible to go to the gym - unless I go at 4 in the morning when baby and hubby are still sleeping. I want to spend all the time I have with Dylan - and so I am feeling a little torn. Sleep vs. Gym - Time with Baby vs. Gym - Time with Hubby vs. Gym - Loosing Weight vs. Sanity. Just a few of my struggles. I NEED YOUR WISDOM!

Kenny!

My Fav Song of his....one of many I should say.

K is for Kenny Chesney

So I can't hide it any longer. I LOVE Kenny Chesney. I know - the girl that use to hate country is now listening to it all the time. I went to Kenny's concert a year ago and that was it. I was hocked. I was about to go to his concert this year when he came to SLC BUT I ended up having Dylan that day so there would have been a scheduling conflict! But next year I am there!

J is for Jobs

Through out my life I have had a wide variety of jobs. Not always the best jobs to brag about - but they gave me some money in my pocket so I was happy. For instance one of my first jobs was dressing up as a Twinky and standing by the side of the road for a store opening. I thought it was going to be fun - until I saw the costume. NOT FUN! I was a hotel maid for a little. Not very fun either. Especially when you have to clean a room that was used as a honeymoon room - or when baseball players had been staying there. Let's see - I've been a CNA for a long time. Working in TONS of nursing homes.....need I say more. I've been a secretary, file clerk, administrative assistant, and receptionist. And once dabbled in cashiering for Rite Aid. Needless to say I am a well rounded individual!
All my jobs have been interesting - but my newest job as Mom is the best. It's crazy - It's the only job that I have to wake up every night, get peed on, pooped on, thrown up on, sneezed on, coughed on, boogers wiped on.....and I wouldn't trade it for the world!

I is for Irene

Irene is my middle name. Adalynn Irene Park Thiel! Say that 10 times real quick! ;) Middle names are fun. Once in awhile I've made it "middle-name-day" at my work. Instead of calling each other by our first names we go by our middle names. And if someone doesn't have one.....we get to make one up (evil laugh). Makes for a interesting day - and makes it sound like we are all old ladies. Everyone should try it! :)

H is for Home

This is my home! Nothing spectacular - but I like it. It was actually built in 1926! And you can tell by how the house was designed. It is cozy, not a lot of outlets, small bedrooms, and even smaller closets. It's a up and down duplex - right now we just got our new renters moved in (Thursday) so it feels complete. The bottom apartment is remodled for the most part - and the top part we have been working on......slowly. Ty and I aren't going to call this home forever - maybe just a few more years and then we will either sale - OR - most likely keep it as our rental property and move into or build the house of our dreams! That is the plan right now. We will see though!

G is for Green Bay Packers

Never did I think that people could actually LOVE a game/sport until I went to Wisconsin for the first time. Coming from a state that doesn't have one pro team - and from a family of mostly girls - I never REALLY got into sports until I met Ty. And then I was kind of FORCED to enjoy sports - especially the Green Bay Packers. A few years ago when we went out there for Christmas - Ty took me to a game. We actually got really good seats off of eBay - and we had tons of fun. Here are a few pic's of that cold but fun day!Ty wanted to make sure I got a pic. of the GREAT Brett Favre!
Out side of the stadium!
Trying to stay warm. It gets as cold as Rexburg out there!!!!

F is for Friends

Through out my short life I have felt blessed to have found a handful of true friends. What is a true friend you might ask. Well it is a person that loves you for who you are not what you are - and will always be there no matter the distance, time, or space that might come between you and them. If I could I would post pictures from my high school days because that is where I met most of these true friends of mine. I have moved A LOT through out my life. Mostly when I was younger. So I never got the chance to have a friend that I've known since I was in 1st grade etc. To tell you the truth I am jealous of anyone who stayed in one or two houses while growing up. BUT because I am talking about friends I want to tell you about SOME of my true friends.

NICKY - She happens to be my oldest true friend. 10 years! We met our sophomore year of High School - in our debate class. SHE IS AMAZING. Even though I was the new girl in school she became my friend - and honestly changed my life. Before I met her I was on the wrong track - hadn't gone too far on the wrong track - but she saved me. She taught me that being a nerd was cool! :) In college she would come and kidnap me, blind-fold me, stuff me in the back of her Subaru and do doughnuts in some random parking lot to relieve the pressure of finals! :)
In my eyes she is now an amazing mother and person! She is so strong in standing up for what she believes is right. She is an amazing cook, seamstress, vocalist, and dreamer! I hope to be more like her!

DOROTHY - She came into my life about the same time that Nicky did! Her sense of humor and wild and crazy side always made me smile. And also made it easy to be her friend. When in high school we were on the same dance team. Her perfection in every move she made was awesome. In college she shared the love of snowboarding with me. And stayed by my side (even though I can't remember it) when I fell and hit my head......really hard. She has also blossomed into a incredible mother of 2.5 kids and wife. She is fearless - and I admire her.

KIRSTEN - Has been an amazing friend to me. For a while she and I were connected at the hip. We were practically the same person but in two bodies. BUT then we graduated and our lives separated. She got married - I went to college. I moved away - and she stayed. But we would always call each other and keep up to date on each others lives. I won't lie - she had it a lot harder then I did. She and I have gone through some very hard times together. We have laughed A LOT, cried quite a bit, and talked about life all night long. She is an amazing mother of 2 kids that make me laugh. We have made 1,000 memories together - and hopefully more. And even though we seem to be exact opposites of each other now - I love her. I see the person inside of her - and I'll be friends with her forever.

I would go on about my other true friends. BUT I have to run clean Dylan up, walk the dog, and go take Ty to a Dr's appointment. AND I have about a half hour to do that. When I get time I will write more.

E is for Excitement

Since becoming pregnant and now having a little one to always worry about I feel like my life has been kind of lacking Excitement. To tell you the truth, lately my excitement has been based on how many hours Dylan wants to sleep. (Last night he slept 6 hours!!!!!!) So because of this realization I am going to try and change that. I hate when I feel like a part of my life has gotten in a rut. I like my life to constantly to be moving, growing.
When I was in high school I made a theory - it is called the LITTLE CUP THEORY. If you haven't heard it already this is what it is. In life we have little cups - each of those little cups have labels on them. Such as FUN, SHOPPING, or EXCITEMENT. Those little cups are filled when we have fun or go shopping etc. If we don't fill them - we go crazy. WELL - my excitement cup is almost hitting EMPTY. I have to change that! :) Wish me luck!

D is for Dog

This is my puppy dog Timber! I don't really consider him a dog as much as I consider him a child. It's pretty sad - I know - but he really is a part of our little family. For the longest time while growing up I was a cat person. Didn't really care for dog's too much. <- (side note) I had a bad experiance with one when I was little - that is how I got the scare on my upper lip! BUT then I met and married a man who is allergic to cat's and thinks that they are evil. So we looked for a puppy.......

and I fell in LOVE! It is really nice to have a dog around. It forces me to get going some days. I'll want to sleep in - but then Timber is there to stick his cold nose on my face to remind me that he is ready for his morning walk. Those walks give me energy - they really do! He's smart too - he does tricks, can understand what you're talking about (especially if you say treat or walk), AND he's a protector! I don't know what I would do without him!

C is for Couple

It's no secret - I'm in love with my husband! Our 2nd Anniversary is on Thursday! This picture is us in front of the Bellagio fountains in Las Vegas - on our honeymoon. We had so much fun just watching the fountains :) I am just in love with him now as I was then. He always has a way of making me smile and laugh! He is a great husband and a great father! I can't wait to grow older with him! :P

B is for Baby Smile

So I promised myself that I wasn't going to be one of those mom's that was obsessed with her kid - well........too late - I think I'm addicted. I love everything about him - even in the middle of the night. BUT to explain this picture - Today was my first day back to work....kind of - I'm just doing a couple of hours here and there of home health. ANY WHO - I dropped a very awake Dylan off to my sisters before my first appointment. I was about a mile away when I got this picture sent to my phone! Maybe it was the lack of sleep - but I almost cried. Dylan has just started smiling back at you when you make silly faces at him. I haven't been able to catch his smile on camera yet. But my sister did! Made my morning great - and the fact that I only got 4 hours of sleep worth it. Everything seems better when Dylan smiles!

A is for Adalynn

Some of my other fellow bloggers have done the - It's called an Encyclopedia of Me! Each day I will use the ABC's and post something about me! Hope you enjoy!

I thought this would be a great way to start this out. My name has always defined me through out my life. I think that my mom who also suffered from a odd name (Ordella) felt that she had to pass the curse on! (Just Kidding - Mom!) Some times I've loved it - most of the time I've hated it. When I was younger I would always wish my name was Britany - don't know why - just thought it was a lot better then ADALYNN! Most likely cause everyone would know how to say it. But I do have to say that my name has helped me though - I would always know who really knew me - and who didn't by how they would say my name. Most of the time it was the people that I didn't like that would say my name wrong and it would just make me not like them that much more. I always had a easy last name (Park) until I got married. So at least when I was being called (i.e. at the dr's) they could call Ms. Park - and I knew it was me. Now all I get is a long pause.........and then Adddddddalynn?????? Grrrrrrrr!

To say the least I am glad to have a crazy name - made me a more well rounded individual. I don't think I'll be passing the curse on to my children - but I'm glad for the character it has given me :)

WISCONSIN

I survived! Just verily though! I am ready to stay home for a while after Ty and I's adventures. Wisconsin was A LOT of fun! We were busy most of the time so it didn't really feel like vacation - BUT - it was lots of fun and we got to spend time with the people who mean a lot to us!
One of the main events was that Dylan got blessed! He is growing so fast I was scared that he wouldn't fit the outfit! I ended up borrowing the outfit - Dylan's cousin Nolan actually wore the it for his baptism. Kinda cool!

I wish I had more pic's but my camera decided to go on strike while we were out there and I only got it to work for a little to get pic's of Dylan.

While out there we also went to Ty's best friend's wedding. OH MY GOODNESS weddings are a whole lot different out there then here in little ole' Utah. It was really fun to experiance it all. Thank goodness I had my sis-in-law Kim to explain everything to me. ;) I also had my 25th birthday out there! Ty was so sweet and threw me a birthday bbq! It was really sweet and really fun! It turned into more of a pool party - and we ended the night playing Wii. Quite fun!

But now we are back to reality and trying to get use to it..... it's hard - it really is! Tonight I mowed our lawn - that hadn't been touched since before Dylan was born....I won't need to go to the gym for a while! ;) Oh gotta run - time for me to be mom!

I'm Going To Get Bad At This

This last weekend we went down to Farmington, New Mexico for the blessing of Dylan's cousin Ivie Rose! It was a long trip (6 hours 1 way) BUT it was worth it. Ty's bro and sis-in-law got some 4 wheelers - so we played and had a great time visiting! This is our first little family picture! Dylan was pulling faces the whole time and looking everywhere but at the camera! As I was saying Dylan was making A LOT of funny faces! He has such the personality already. OH - he has also developed the need to make noise ALL the time. He doesn't cry - and he's not in any pain - he just likes to make noise. He'll be dead a sleep and just grunting and cooing. I'm not a heavy sleeper - so i won't lie - he's kept me up! Ty just say's he's trying to tell everyone a story........a very LONG story! :)

Now for the explination about the title to this blog! Tomorrow we leave for our vacation to Wisconsin. We'll be gone a week! So don't expect a blog from me for about a week and a half. I think I'm really going to need to recover - but when I do bounce back (and get the virus off of our computer) I will have lots of news and pic's to show. Ty will be in a wedding, Dylan will be getting blessed, and I will be turning 25! Have a great week and a half!

Gettin Things Going

So here is a pic of me and my little man about a week ago. After this pic was taken I took a nap - cause I saw how insainly tierd I looked! Now I don't look so tierd and I'm starting to get things going.

Our renters are moving out here in about a week - so I've been showing the apartment like crazy. I want to have somone moving in Aug. 1 (if not sooner). Ty and I are going to Wisconsin for a week and I want everything in place before we leave. **** So if anyone knows someone that needs a 1 bedroom apartment in Provo - send them my way****

We also have Ty's mom and Neice Amber coming into town on Friday - They are going to spend some time with us then head down to New Mexico so they can meet Ivie. Then we are going down to New Mexico the last weekend for Ivie's blessing and to bring Rose (Ty's Mom) and Amber back up to catch their plane. THEN a couple of day's after they leave we are leaving for Wisconsin - Ty's best friend Andy is getting married Aug 3rd - and then we are blessing Dylan August 5th! (My birthday!) ****Does anyone know where to get a cute little boys blessing outfit???***** I'm getting tierd just typing this!

OH ALSO UPDATE - I've been calling T-Mobile every day about my stolen cell phone. They are crazy - Ty and I have been with them for 4 years - and all they could do is take $2.75 off of the charges that were made. (I'm going to keep on calling!)

Gotta Run!

Stupid People!

Grrrrrrrrrr! So - everyone knows that I lost my cell phone! It's been terrible living without it the past week or so! I lost it at the hospital - just as I was checking out. Since I knew I had lost it there I talked with the nurses, gave a report to lost and found, AND had Ty stop by the hospital and see if he could find someone who knew about it. OF COURSE nothing turned up. So - today I decided to check our cell phone account. Well - someone found my phone and decided to start calling Mexico on it. They have charged about $150 in international phone calls and text messaging. Which my cell phone company told me I have to pay. AND they have also used most of our minutes - which we can't get reimburssed. I've filed a police report and am filing a complaint with the hospital (I'm pretty sure it was one of the cleaning ladies). I have all the phone numbers they called - and am hoping to get someone fired! <- I'm really mad! It is mind blowing how stupid people can be. I'm just glad that I found out about it. I can only imagine what our bill would look like if I wouldn't of checked our account! I'll let everyone know when I get my number back. In the mean time......Grrrrrrrrrrr!

Monday, July 09, 2007

So - now that I'm home all the time - you will all probably all notice a lot more postings appearing on my site. Hope you don't mind.

This last weekend - as I mentioned in my last post - Ty's brother and sis-in-law came up to see Dylan. It was the first time for us to see their baby Ivie! First of all I have to mention the to-die-for eyes that she has. She is going to be fighting off all the boys with those eyes!

They invited us to go boating with them - and we couldn't turn them down. DON'T worry. All I did was sit on the boat, in the shade, and hold Dylan. It actually felt great to get outside and feel the wind in my hair!

Here is Ivie and Dylan in their cute little life jackets. Dylan's was a little big - and he had a crazy heat rash to match it!

This is Ty Surfing. It is some what like wake boarding - but your feet are free and you get up close to the boat, throw the rope in, and surf behind the boat! Ty did really good for his first time!Another cute pic. of Dylan and Ivie! Both of them pretty much slept the whole time! That night - we went over to my brother-in-laws - for Ty to help him put up some sheet rock in his basement. Conner was dieing to hold Dylan - and Dylan looked so relaxed in his arms I had to take a pic!

1 Week And Counting

I've offically been a mom for 1 week! And to tell you the truth it is awesome! It's really crazy to think that something so pure and perfect came from me and Ty. I know, I know - give it a few years and I'll be singing a different tune. :) To tell you the truth the only bad part of being a mom is ALL the emotions that come with the new job! i.e. Last night Ty came home with the wrong size of diapers (he didn't know they had different sizes) - and I lost it - I seriously was in tears.....over diapers! What next! Side Note - THANK YOU Nicky for the words of advise! You know exactly what to say and when to say it......I think we've been friends for too long - just kidding - not long enough!

BUT - I have been getting better a lot faster then I thought I would. Thanks A LOT to my mom who has come over everyday - cleaned my house, done laundry, walked the dog, watered the lawn, and cleaned surfaces that hadn't been cleaned in a long time! She and Ty have to yell at me still to take it slow - and to take my pain pills when I'm in pain (I don't like the way they make me feel)

This weekend we got a fun treat! Ty's brother Phil and his wife Sarah with their baby Ivie came up to visit Dylan! Ivie is so cute! And I know when Ivie and Dylan grow up a little more they are going to be best of friends! I'll post pic's next time of their meeting.

Well - I think I hear my little man calling for me! ttfn

So - for all of you that I haven't called.....I AM SORRY! For the first couple of days I was completely out of it - and now - I've lost my cell phone some how so this is me calling everyone and telling you how it went.
Wednesday of last week (27th) I was sent to the hospital to get some testing done. One of the tests was to see how much Amniotic Fluid I had. They like the score to be 6 or higher and I was at a 4. With that failing score they decided to induce me. So at about 4 o'clock that afternoon they started my labor. As the night progessed so did my contractions. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be - but bad enough that I couldn't get comfortable OR sleep. At 4:30 the next morning they started the Pitocin. I still wasn't progressing though - so my dr came over to "find my cervix" <- long story - and to break my water. I was told that it wasn't going to feel good AT ALL - and that the dr. was telling me to get a Epidural. So like a good patient I listened - and about a half hour after I got the epidural (8:30) I got my water broke (9:00) and found out I was only at a 2!!!! It seems like as soon as they did that we started having problems with Dylan's heart. I had a AWESOME nurse that had went through almost the same thing with her baby 3 months before - so she knew exactly what to look for and what to do.
I was actually falling a sleep for the first time in who knows how long - when she came in and told Ty and I that within 20 min's I was going to be taken back, given a C-Section, and have a baby! It was the scaryest thing! But everyone taking care of me (including Ty) were amazing and helped me settle down! Ty was by my side and watched the whole thing! The only bad part was that after Dylan was born I only got to see him for a couple of seconds - and then it was a hour before I could see and hold him.
Slowly but surely I'm starting to get back on my feet - and I'm able to do more and more each day.
OH - the other scary story - on Friday night Ty forgot to close one of our doors all the way and Timber ran away! Tim had been out and about for 6 hours by the time Ty came back and noticed. THANK GOODNESS one of our neighbors saw him and took him in. For a little I thought that I had just got a son and lost another! Pathetic I know - but I was really sad. BUT now all is well and we are one happy family!

The Burn Lotion!

Soooooo to take my mind off the fact that I am still pregnant my sisters "kidnapped" me and took me to the pool to hang out and soak up some rays! It was really a nice day - not too bad - a little over cast! Perfect pool day weather!
Well - all of you know that I am about as white as white girls come! Usually when I go out in the sun my legs are the LAST to get any color! I usually have to go to the tanning beds for them to look a little colored. Well because of that my sister gave me some of her "tanning lotion" I put it on my legs about a half hour before we left the pool. Well......

This is what happened! (Sorry that you have to look at my swollen legs) Everywhere I put the lotion......it BURNED! From the top half of me you can't even tell I was in the sun that much! I've been living with the Aloe Vera with Liticane and Cocoa Butter Lotion. <- They've been my best friends!

Last night was the longest night of my life though! Because most of the burn is on the inside of my leg it was hard to lay on my side....and with me being so big I can't lay on my back! Then the blankets.... (aurgh) Today it is feeling better -but still really sore and the few times Timber has come say Hi - well - I've been close to tears!

On a different note - I have offically started my Maturnity Leave (12 weeks away from work) - but I have another appointment tomorrow morning and if nothing's still happening I'm going to just work half days....until something happens!! I'll keep you all updated!

Frustration!

Ok - yeah - I think it is offically setting in. Everyone and their dogs are having their babies - except for me. (breathe) Girls that were due after me are having contractions - AND I don't think I've had one yet! I shouldn't be frustrated - but at my last appointment I still wasn't dialated OR efaced! And I have been doing EVERYTHING - EVERYONE has suggested. Ok - well everything except for the Caster Oil (yuck) .
ALSO at my last appointment she felt and said Dylan was going to be about 7 lbs some odd ounces. I can handle 7 lbs! I guess one of my worst fears is that I'm going to have to push a 10 lb baby out. 10 lbs = not fun.
Ok Ok - Now I am just whiney! Sorry for all who are reading this! Today is just one of those days ;)

Martha Stewart Eat Your Heart Out!

Soooooo - I don't know what I was thinking - BUT I took a trip to Roberts and got the creative bug. I think now that without my second job I'm having too much time on my hands and feel like I need to fill it with crafts! Watch out! Here is what I started with!
I painted these and then crazy glued the ribbon on - and crazy glued my fingers together! But it was fun! I tried to use more "manly" colors - and Ty approved.
This shows you where I hung it! All that stuff you see in the crib is things I've gotten from other people. Yesturday was like Christmas - my cousin Melissa stopped by and dropped off ALOT of baby boy clothes that her little boy grew out of before he wore. AND then my sister Heather dropped off ALOT of clothes that my sister Stacy had gotten together for me. THEN my mom came over tonight and dropped off some more gifts! I'm getting spoiled! Or should I say Dylan's getting spoiled!

Fun Fun Fun

So I finally got my husband back!!! He was suppose to fly out Monday - and his flight got canceled AGAIN! I was about to die! But then they switched him airlines and where he was flying to and I got him home around 11 o'clock Monday night!
Since then we've been busy with life. This last weekend we went to a Prenatal class at the hospital. Quite interesting to say the least. I did learn a lot of new things - so I think Ty and I are now ready to have Dylan!
Here are the picture's I promised - The Rocking Chair is my mother's day present! And this is the swing that my sister's got for me! So much fun!
This last week I also had my baby shower for work and got lots of cute clothes, diapers, and necessities!
Today is my mom's birthday - and we're about to leave for her party! She's 69 years old today! Happy Birthday Mom!

Crazy Weekend!

Oh my goodness! I've made it.....kind of! This last weekend was a little crazy. Of course from my last blog - Ty was gone - so my sister Heather and my Neice Talley came to stay with me. They really did help me out a lot - making it so I didn't focus on the emptiness of the house.
On Saturday my sister bought a new truck so we spent the day finding just the right one.....which took all day - but it was worth it!
Then we noticed that I was swelling REALLY BAD - and just in one leg. I really did look like the Michelin Man....We actually measured my ankle and it was almost 11 inches - and that was after I had been laying down! SOOOOOO we called the dr. on call and she told me - just to be safer then sorrier to go to Labor and Delivery and get checked out. While there we found out that I'm ok - b/p was a little high - and I was having contractions every 5 min's! I had no idea - and couldn't feel any of them and they were pretty good ones. BUT they sent me home saying to lay down A LOT on my left side and lay off the salt :(

THEN on Sunday - TY was suppose to come home - but because of bad weather his flight was canceled :( Weather is worse today then it was yesturday - so everyone cross your fingers that he will be able to leave and come home!

The rest of this week should be fine - I'm having my work baby shower tomorrow and then then next day we are having a card making party! :) I'm such a girl! I'll keep everyone posted on the happen's though!

I MISS MY HUSBAND!

Ty left this morning for Wisconsin! He is headed out there for a wedding - for one of his best friends from High School. While he is out there he gets to go to our nephew Nolan's birthday party. He is going to have so much fun!
BUT last night - was - WoW! Amazing! My mother's day present finally got into the store so we got to go pick it up. It was a glider rocking chair! Ty picked it out and he did a great job - it matches the nursery perfectly! ALSO my mom gave me some baby presents AND Rubarb Pie (yum) THEN my sister's Heather and Christina surprised me and went in together and got me the swing I really really wanted. Soooo last night Ty and I stayed up ate some pie and put everything together. We didn't get to bed till after midnight - but it was worth it! Made waking up at 4:30 a little hard - but it was worth it! :) I'll get pic's up soon of both my presents!
It's so exciting to see everything come together for Dylan!

I Can Bring My Baby Home!

After A LOT of procrastinating and a couple of BAD dreams (one of the dreams was about not being able to bring Dylan home) - Ty and I went out and bought the car seat and stroller! I honestly think I was a little in denial that I was going to have a baby - and that's why I put it off for so long. But now that D-Day is only 3 and 1/2 weeks away - I thought I better get the ball rolling! I'm so excited now - and each time I see them I smile!

Now I just need to get a swing and I think I'll be set! :) All set for June 26th or 27th! Not any sooner! Ty is actually going out to Wisconsin this coming weekend for a wedding! My sister Heather is going to stay with me just to make sure I'm ok! It will be sad to not have him around - BUT - I know he'll be having ALOT of fun and he deserves it!

Superwoman has Limits

For all of you out there that know me pretty well - know that I like to be busy. I'm not one to sit around and watch time go by. In fact I have been famous on making myself a little too busy at times and undertaking too many things all at once. I love it though - and I've often called my self Superwoman for doing all of it so well. But today I found out I have limits. (gasp)
Ty and I were all ready to go down to New Mexico for the weekend when today (after only having 4 hours of sleep last night) I started blacking out at work, and having dizzy spells that would last a half hour or so at a time. Everyone was telling me to go home BUT of course I didn't listen. When I did get home it was so bad I was sick. So of course I call my sister (she knows everything ;), and her advise......"Adalynn, why don't you slow down? You are almost 9 months pregnant!" (Of course I had to be talking to her as I was headed to my second job) And it hit me - I am only human - about to give birth to another human - maybe I should slow down. Not totally stop.....but slow down. One of those "ah-ha" moments! So I thought I would share it with all of you - and let all of you know I'm starting to slow down. And yes Superwoman is human and does have limits!

For Nicky!

Ugh! I can't believe I am posting these! But this is Adalynn 8 months pregnant - in all my glory! For my dear friend Nicky! You owe me!

Ty insisted on doing a close up of the belly!
Ugh! The only way I even let these pic's be taken is for the sake of knowing in a few months I'll look back and smile. But right now - ugh!

Babysitting!

So last night my sister Christina and my brother-in-law Ben went to the Gwen Stefani/Akon concert - and while they went - Ty and I helped babysit Conner and Haylee. As you will notice there are no pictures of Haylee - BECAUSE - she was not a very happy baby - let's just put it that way. She really gave Ty and I and our neighbors a upclose and personal look at what it's going to be like with a baby! Eeeeekkkk! Too late to go back now! Just kidding!

This is Ty and Conner - showing off their "guns"! I have no idea what Conner was trying to do - BUT - he wanted his picture taken with his face like this! This is his Elephant he HAD to take a picture of!

ALL and ALL it was a good night! Very eye opening! ;)
